s3c0nd we3k

As the second week is nearing its end, I look back at the days and can say that this week was pretty decent. I can also say that it was probably my busiest week at Capernwray thus far. Some of the events included: obtaining my new duty which is breakfast serving (really fun, but it's been difficult for me to get up at 7:00 and feel awake throughout the day), covering for 3 other peoples duties, helping with working on the yearbook, attending classes, and going on a photography journey with some other students. Somehow we ended up on the other end of the island, but thankfully we caught a ride in the back of a truck to get to the harbour. There was a lot of sawdust in the back, and I was wearing black pants, which led to me being somewhat filthy. It was cool though, as I thought that it was more funny than anything. I will post pictures.

Hey Saturday Sun

How Can I Know You?

God, it's like I can I only see you with my eyes closed
How can I know you when we're never face to face?
It seems like we're friends that met once years ago
and we'll never know each other quite the same

Even if I reached as far as I could to the sky
I would not come close
And maybe that's why I need you?
But how can you touch me
when I don't know where you are?

Back Again

I'm only a few days into the second semester, but so far it has been pretty nice. Overall, I have enjoyed seeing the people here again, even though I was rather nervous at first. Anyway, I'll quickly note some thoughts I have had recently. I have been wondering how one is supposed to feel God's presence, since he is not necessarily revealed through our five senses? I feel like I am spiritually blind and disconnected from what a lot of other followers of Christ have, that I do not have hold of. However, I think that I may have not been giving him enough credit, and that he could be shown through every day occurrences. I do have a lot to be thankful for, and I don't think that my heart is as thankful as it should be a lot of the time. I'll probably post some pictures and other stuff on Saturday, but I need to go for now. The internet will be offline shortly ... thanks for reading :)
